How do I book in a session?
You can book a session by sending an email, or calling Liz and she will work out a time that suits you for an initial free 10-20 minute zoom meeting, where you will work out an action plan for your study goals. After the initial meeting, paid zoom lessons can proceed as normal.
Parental Involvement?
Parents are encouraged to attend the tuition classes if they wish to do so and if the client is under 18 years of age.
How do I access a zoom meeting?
You will receive an email with the zoom link available. The link or email should not be shared with anyone else. Once the zoom meeting has commenced, the session will be locked to keep all participants safe.
How does group tuition work?
If you want to study with friends and save on costs at the same time, group tuition might be the option for you! If you have a friend or two who you want to study with, you can all join in a zoom tuition session for a lower price than private tuition. The fee must come from one person to cover all, however each person will receive a receipt. Each person will be sent a zoom link prior to the tuition and this link MUST NOT be shared with anyone.
How does the payment work?
You can choose to pay per session or pay for a full term/trimester up front. Paying for a full term can be beneficial for you as it guarantees your place each week; but we do understand this may not always be possible. After the tuition session is complete, you will receive an invoice which is due within 7 days of service. If you have multiple tuition sessions per week, an invoice covering all meetings for that week will be sent out at the end of the week and will be due within 7 days. Please be advised if payment is not made by the due date we will be forwarding your account to our Debt Collection Agency for further recovery action.
What happens if the internet drops out or we cant get a connection?
Technology doesn't always work, and if we do have too many connection issues due to external factors, the session can be moved to another time and your account will be put on credit. If the session becomes faulty partway through, the remaining time can be put on credit and the session rescheduled.
What is your cancellation policy?
In order for you to be granted a refund and make-up session, a minimum of 48 hours MUST be given to Intergalactic Tutoring. Cancellations made within 48 hours will NOT be eligible for reschedule or refund.
Can I do a make up lesson?
Clients can ask for a make up session if more than 48 hours notice is provided, however, this is subject to time availability and cannot always be guaranteed. All students have a limit to 4 rescheduled sessions per term/trimester - whichever the client is working from. Once these 4 sessions are used, no further make-up lessons will be offered and refunds will not be granted.
